Katie Clark and Olivia Federici put in an impressive performance to take first place in the Duet Free second round at the Olympic Games Qualification Tournament as they claimed a quota place for the Games this summer.
The pair put in an excellent performance in the Free routine to score 80.0333 which was their highest international score since they returned to the sport late last year.
The snakes themed routine saw Clark and Federici secure an overall total of 157.2544 to achieve second place overall.
The London 2012 Olympians knew they had to give their all in the swim and they showed excellent height, power and speed throughout the routine.
Head Coach Katie Dawkins commented: “We are all extremely pleased with that performance. We have trained solidly since Thursday to get that top place in the second round. Katie and Olive have worked tirelessly and the changes were noticeable in every session. Their hard work has really been rewarded here.”
