On the second day of the British Diving Championships 2018 in Plymouth, Sheffield’s Jack Haslam stormed to victory in the Men’s 3m Springboard to take gold and the national title.
Haslam had a consistent morning prelims session that saw him ranked fourth with a point’s total of 372.75 and comfortably through to the evening final.
Jack’s best dive came in the third round of the six dive final, his Reverse 3 ½ Somersaults tuck, which scored him 89.25 and put him straight into medal contention.

Silver went to Jack’s brother and Sheffield teammate Ross Haslam with a score of 419.90 and James Heatly of Edinburgh Diving Club claimed bronze with 408.55 points.
After a shaky prelims in the Women’s 10m Platform, Lois Toulson went on to the podium after she delivered five solid dives in the afternoon final.
A point’s total of 336.90 secured Toulson 2018 British Championship gold ahead of silver medallist Georgia Davenport (Sheffield Diving) with 283.50 points and bronze went to Gemma McArthur of Southampton Diving Academy with 272.30 points.
The hotly contested event of the Men’s 10m Synchro was won by Matty Lee and Kyle Kothari of Leeds Diving and Dive London respectively.
Lee and Kothari secured the national title on the second day in Plymouth with a final score of 406.17 and sizeable margin over the second place pairing of Matthew Dixon (Plymouth Diving) and Noah Williams (Dive London) who 388.50 points.
Bronze in the Men’s 10m Synchro went to Edinburgh Diving Club partnership of Lucas Thompson and James Heatly, they concluded the six rounds of dives with 348.72 points.
The Women’s 3m Synchro was the final event of the day and saw new partnership Alicia Blagg and Kat Torrance take the title.
A point’s total of 266.70 secured Blagg and Torrance gold ahead of the Sheffield Diving pair of Millie Haffety and Millie Fowler who took the silver medal with 241.11 points and bronze went to the Yasmin Harper (Sheffield Diving) and Scarlett Mew Jensen (Dive London) with 233.82.
