Three British divers were in action on the opening day of the Malaysian leg of FINA Diving Grand Prix and served up a strong start to the three-day competition in Kuala Lumpur.
Eden Cheng and Emily Martin both made their full senior international debuts in the Women’s Platform event.
Both Cheng and Martin progressed into semi-finals after consistent diving in the in the morning prelims session; ranked second and ninth respectively.
Cheng stepped up and topped the rankings in her semi-final, and third overall before returning to the platform for the final, where she achieved a sixth place finish.
Anthony Harding went in the Men’s 3m Springboard, he delivered a very composed list of dives in the prelims that saw him secure a semi-finals berth.
Harding returned strong competing within a field of notable and highly experienced international divers and ranked sixth at the close of the event.
