Performance athletes from across the aquatic spectrum such as Adam Peaty, Tom Daley and Tully Kearney have been honoured at the ASA Aquatics Awards 2015.
Among those recognised at the Leamington Spa ceremony was triple World Champion and triple World Record holder, Adam Peaty who has enjoyed a golden season in 2015.
Peaty was named Swimming’s Performance Athlete of the Year after becoming the first British swimmer in history to win two individual golds and a relay gold at a World Championships when he competed in the 50m and 100m Breaststroke and mixed medley relay in Kazan, Russia earlier this year.
Looking ahead to 2016, Peaty said: "I am absolutely delighted to receive this award and honoured to be recognised in this way.
"The past two years have been incredible and I am so grateful to be working with such a talented support team. Everyone works unbelievably hard and I am so proud of everything we've achieved together as a team so far.
"I'm really looking forward to next year and I will continue to work hard to ensure I'm in the best shape possible to compete in front of my home crowd in London at the European Championships and then at my first Olympic Games."
Other recipients within the performance athlete of the year awards were Tully Kearney (para-swimming), Tom Daley (diving), Honor Grimes (water polo), Jodie Cowie and Genevieve Randall (synchronised swimming) and Jack Burnell (marathon swimming).
