Artistic Swimming and Diving feature on the sports programme at the third edition of the European Games, Kraków-Małopolska 2023, with 26 British athletes selected to compete for Team GB across the two disciplines.

Organised by the European Olympic Committee (EOC), the umbrella body for Europe's 50 National Olympic Committees, the Games are taking place for just the third time since the inaugural edition at Baku 2015, with Minsk 2019 the intervening Games four years ago.
Who is competing?
Team GB has a total of 177 athletes competing across the fortnight, with 26 of those coming from the aquatic disciplines of Artistic Swimming and Diving.
A total of twelve artistic swimmers have been named to represent Team GB at the European Games, with experienced duet Kate Shortman and Isabelle Thorpe and contesting the Duet Technical and Free events following their impressive bronze medals at the recent Montpellier leg of the Artistic Swimming World Cup.
Another British pairing will make Games history with Ranjuo Tomblin and Beatrice Crass featuring in the in the Mixed Duet – with this edition of the Games the first to include such a category, whilst the team look to build on their positive strides over recent times with their Free and Acrobatic routines in the Oświęcim Aquatic Centre.
Meanwhile on the diving front, European Games alumni, James
Heatly, Ross Haslam and Matthew Dixon are among the 14-person
team heading to Rzeszow, Poland to represent Team GB, having competed in
Baku when the format was a junior competition.
Two-time Olympian Grace Reid is among the most experienced of group, as well as a clutch of young talents making their mark on the international stage, including Desharne Bent-Ashmeil and Amy Rollinson - who featured at all three senior majors in 2022 - and World Junior medallists Maisie Bond and Robbie Lee.
For both disciplines the competitions will also have a status of the European Championships and the possibility securing Olympic Games quota places for Paris 2024.
