A 17-strong contingent of British para-swimmers are ready to kick off action at the finale of the 2019 World Para Swimming World Series in Berlin.
The group, which features many of the athletes selected for this autumn’s London 2019 World Para Swimming Championships, have just finished an intensive training camp in Piombino, Italy before for heading to the German capital for four days of competition, from 6-9 June.
Of the Brits in action Ellie Simmonds and Jessica-Jane Applegate are amongst those with the most experience, and whilst they’ll be looking for strong performances individually they’ll also be able impart invaluable knowledge onto some of the newer team members, such as Brock Whiston and Reece Dunn, who are competing internationally at this level for the first time.
Athletes will be looking to put into practice the developments and progress made in Italy and test themselves against a strong international field ahead of the aforementioned World Championships at the London Aquatics Centre in September.
The Action begins on Thursday 6 June and you can keep track of the results here
